Darren
Lawley started training horses straight out of high school for
Don Murphy. Later, he took a job for Robbie Schoeder. He worked
for Schoeder Ranch for over six years, when he finally decided
to go out on his own.
Darren
has been extremely successful in his first few years out on
his own. Here are a few of the accomplishments he has attained

2006 World's Greatest Horseman - 8th Place
This mare was originally owned by Darren Lawley. She was then
sent back to him for Training.
Darren trained Smart N Chexy in all 4 events (cutting, reigning,
steer stopping, and going down the fence).
This mare only had 4 months of cutting and roping training when
she place 8th at the 2006 World's Greatest Horseman Competition.
She was the only mare to make the finals.
Smart N Chexy is owned by Crystal Ward.

Place Limited Open Heading
Darren Lawley trained this mare as a Head/Heel horse.
This mare tied for the high score in the prelims and was also
5th in Open Heeling.
