We have been involved in the horse business for the past thirty years. Don has been involved with roping horses, while Chris was involved with hunter jumpers. Between us, we have a broad range of experience from which to benefit from. When our youngest son started to show horses at the AQHA youth shows, we devoted our competition time to him and getting him started in this fulfilling career.

After he moved out of the youth classes, we decided to start breeding some horses. That's when we bred a Skipper W mare to a grandson of Mr. Gunsmoke. This breeding resulted in a stallion named Skips Sizzlin Smoke. He carries the bloodlines of Mr. Gunsmoke, Doc's Dee Bar, Two Eyed Jack and Skipper W. In 2005, "Smoke" qualified for the world show in the tie -down calf roping and dally team roping-heeling. He was one of the finalists in heeling. He also earned his performance register of merit in tie-down calf roping. So far in 2006 he has earned his superior in the heeling events and is getting qualified for the world show again in 2006."Smoke has had a limited amount of foals due to the concentration on his roping career. We are confident that his foals will be great using horses, with strong hearts & sharp minds!
